Acura is the luxury brand of the Honda group. It was introduced to the markets of United States, Canada and Hong Kong in 1986, before being introduced in Mexico in 2004 and in China in 2006. The Honda group now plans to introduce the brand within the markets of Russia and Japan. Acura is renowned for producing quality, reliable and technologically advanced cars. However, many feel it lacks in prestige when compared to the German (BMW, Audi, Mercedes) and Japanese (Lexus, Infiniti) brands in direct competition with it.
