General Motors - Corvette

It is in 1953 that the first generation of Corvette, the C1 appears.  There have been up to now 6 distinct generations, the current one being the C6 (starting with the 2005 model car).  One generation can offer multiple options, the C6 being offered in three distinct versions : basic C6, Z06 and ZR1.  Historically, Corvette is presented by the General Motors group as being a model of the Chevrolet brand.  However, the Corvette experience is so incredibly different than that of other Chevrolet vehicles that GM now introduces Corvette as its own distinct brand in Europe and Japan.  Here in North America, the brand remains Chevrolet and the model, Corvette.  CarPassion.ca nevertheless chose to treat Corvette as a brand and not simply a model in order to give it the attention it deserves and facilitate research on it within the site.
