Groupe Fiat - Ferrari

The very famous and widely respected Italian firm Ferrari was founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari.  Its headquarters are located in Maranello.  Ferrari was first recognized for its success in car racing, specifically the Formula One.  The Fiat group has owned Ferrari since 1989, and it remains a subsidiary to this day.  Ferraris are considered the pinnacle of sports cars and annual production is purposefully kept at less than 10,000 to preserve the elitism and exclusivity sought by its owners.
