For a long time, namely until the launch of the B-Class in 2006, the C-Class was the entry model into Mercedes-Benz in Canada. It is still the entry model into the brand in United States.  The C-Class is the best selling Mercedes-Benz model in Canada.  While it is traditionally understated and classical, the most recent generation (2008-) sports a slightly more distinctive design with stronger lines.  The eternal rivals of the C-Class, also German, are the  BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4.  The C-Class is also offered as a station wagon and in AMG version, this last one reviewed separately by CarPassion.ca because of its distinct feel as a performance model.
