The name Continental Flying Spur was first used in 1957 to describe a sedan version (read : 4 doors) of a coupe model (read : 2 doors), the Bentley S2 Continental.  Today, the name refers to the sedan version of the Continental GT coupe, launched a year earlier (2004).
