General Motors - Corvette - Corvette (base)

The legendary Corvette was launched in 1953.  While its motor changed regularly throughout the generations, the basic Corvette was the only version offered by GM during the first three generations of Corvette (generation C1 to C3, namely from 1953-1982).  It was offered in multiple versions starting with the fourth generation (C4).  While the Corvette is offered in many versions more powerful than the basic model since its C4 generation, such as the B2K, Z06 and ZR1 versions, the fact remains that the basic model was never under-powered and still offers a price-performance ratio that is difficult to match.
