The Genesis Coupe, launched in 2009 as a 2010 model car is not a new incarnation of the Tiburon but an entirely new model sharing its chassis with the Genesis sedan.  In fact, the Genesis coupe is a rear-wheel drive car while the Tiburon was a front-wheel drive car.  With this model, Hyundai aims to compete directly with the Infiniti G37 coupe but at a more affordable price.
