The M5 sedan is a radical and ultimate version of the 5 Series.  The first generation of the M5 was launched in 1987.  Compared to the standard 5 Series, this one sports a more powerful engine and a more distinctive style.  Unlike the previous generation which sported a V8, the most recent generation (E60) sports for the very first time a large V10 engine producing 500 horsepower.
