The Ford Mustang Shelby is a more powerful and higher performance version of the regular Mustang.  It was built and offered by Ford between 1968 and 1970, after the Carroll Shelby enterprise itself offered a modified Mustang called the Shelby GT from 1965 to 1967.  There was no Mustang Shelby between 1970 and 2006 at which time it reappears as the Shelby GT-H.  The year 2007 marks the arrival of the Shelby GT500 derived from the Mustang generation 2005-.
