By commercializing its Rapide starting in 2010, Aston Martin is entering the four-door coupe market.  The name is in reference to the Lagonda Rapide, produced from 1961 to 1964, offered as either a sedan or a saloon.  The Rapide competes with the Porsche Panamera, the Mercedes CLS-Class and the Maserati Quattroporte as well as the future Lamborghini Estoque.
