The Cadillac XLR, launched in 2004, is a sporty convertible with removable hard top.  It has the same chassis as the Corvette (Y chassis of the second generation).  Launched in 2005, the XLR-V is an even more powerful and high performance version.  It uses the same large supercharged V8 engine as the STS-V (2005- ) producing 469 horsepower.
